I am not the best shooter. Hell I am probably not even a "good" shooter. This was at 15 yards and the 2nd time I ever shot my Glock 19. The shots on target are mine the ones low and left are my friends with his Sigma... I didn't actually miss the black area he was shooting everywhere BUT the black. I don't have a whole lot of handgun experience. I shot a few but never shot them with intentions of improving myself. This Glock is my first personally owned handgun. I currently have 100 rounds through it but no limp wristing, no failure, and no problem at all. I am actually really happy with it. It does seem to leave a massive dent in the primer which almost looks like it is going to go clear through it but I am assuming that is because the gun is brand new and the springs are still really stiff. Light primer strikes definitely don't seem like a possibility lol.

You can also see my friends attempt at covering my shots with the patches that come with the target. Like I said it isn't the greatest but it is 15 yards away and it gets the job done. This is the only Glock I have ever held or fired too...

Then this target was the one he was shooting at... notice the lack of holes lol... the center hole is mine and the ones patched are mine. He just covered them after I had shot at it. The only shot I took after that is the one in the middle. I didn't get pics of the later one which I thought this was a pic of originally... but I was pretty close to the bullseye on the last one.

Not bad! And welcome!

I was just happy to hit somewhere near center mass with my gun the first few times.

Only recently did that front sight start to focus really good and start to put groups. I have much more to shoot.

Now maybe I give you gentle suggesting that you and your friend each get a target and now maybe see how we do eh?

New guns are tight. I think only now my handgun is getting settled in and that is a good thing.

well the top target is actually all mine minus those fliers at the bottom... we actually had it stuck to cardboard that was already ON the range plus my friend put a few in the white because he seems to be the worst shot I have ever seen with a handgun... This isn't even his first handgun lol. My groupings generally stay about the same right now. I am usually out to the 7 or 8 ring but no further. I also noticed I shoot SLIGHTLY left of where I am aiming. I have heard others say that Glocks do that so I am not sure if it is me or the gun causing that.

I actually have a pack of those Shoot N See targets so I will be sure the next one is JUST me with no patches or anything. I do have some ammo here... go figure Wal-Mart had 9mm ammo at 4pm haha.

My gun pr0n if you didn't see my original post... this is what I was shooting. It has only had 100 rounds through it... made in April so it is still young...

Let me guess. You are both right handed? Missing low and left is common for almost all right-handed shooters. Slow down on the trigger a little, try to squeeze the trigger slowly. Jerking the trigger hard tends to pull the front sight low and to the left.

I wouldn't worry about the gun too much, especially a quality manufacturer like Glock. The rule of thumb is: guns are usually far more accurate than we can ever shoot them.

Welcome to THR!
All this is, is an excuse to go shooting again  Slow down a little and work on your technique....lots of dry firing!

Let him use your Glock!

Yup, that targets plenty dead, thats all that counts right now.

Low and left are normal for new Glock users, work on your combat grip, don't force the trigger just squeeze it and let the gun fire when it wants to.

Enjoy the 19, couldn't have picked a better gun.

I have improved quite a bit in the first 100 rounds. My group was going low and to the left bad and now you can see that while it is still left it is starting to level up. I haven't quite found that "perfect grip" yet but that comes with time. I am still rusty and I did kill the target.
