I have an Armi Sport .45-70 Sharps falling block rifle. I seem to have broken the firing pin, and would dealry love to know how I can get a replacement and fix the rifle.

All help and pointers are much appreciated.

If you are first owner I'd contact the place I bought it from to see about repair. If you bought it used, try contacting the company, or one of the places that import their firearms for service.

Do a google search for Armi firearms or similar and see what you come up with.

A good machinest should be able to turn one..... I'd see about using Titanium.

broken firing pins are problematic with any and all of the 1874 Sharps clones. A replacement part from any of the makers shound fit. Also, Google or Bing "Sharps reproduction replacement firing pins" Good luck - they are all fun guns, aren't they?

As Liberty1776 noted, they are prone to breaking firing pins. If you are going to order a FP, it would be wise to get a few.

Here's the website for Armi Sport in the US. There is probably a distributor in or near France, or maybe you can contact the factory in Italy.

Here's an interesting thread from the castboolits site, several pages long.

I am going to have to look around. So far in France I have drawn a blank.
