OK, some asked how they could help out on the "Crossballs" fiasco...

C title...as you're aware, I got hosed by this "reality TV show":

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=82620

If you've been tracking that, you know that attorney Peter Mancus has been helping me craft REALLY GOOD "cease and desist" letters to Viacom's management and lawyers...examples in that thread.

Well...the deal is, I want to help Peter back in some fashion, and as many of you as want to help can help too.

Peter has a commercial website for aircraft photography, and he's trying to bump his google ranking up :).

So...if a whole pile of us include the text in this text file below in our taglines, just as it is, that's exactly what will happen: there will suddenly be thousands of new links to Peter's site connected to the phrase "airplane pictures" :p.

Peter isn't just helping me out on this Viacom thing - he's also a seriously pro-RKBA attorney.

You can see in my tagline what the results are, it's fairly unobtrusive. You can edit your "profile" in the "User CP" button above.

Thanks!

I'll put it in the sig. line of all the forums I visit.

Airplane photos? Me?

Well, since it's for a good cause.:D

edit: Doh!! Didn't work. What's the trick?

edit2: Got it. Thanks, Jim March.

Yup :D.

It took me a sec to figure out how to give people the exact code while still making it viewable. The external text file was the answer.

Goalie and Fly320s: you're close :).

You need to pull up that text file in a new window and cut'n'paste it's CONTENTS, unedited, into the tagline. It's "UBB code". I can't display that code right here in the forums because...well, it's live code, so all we would SEE is "Airplane Pictures" versus the needed code.

Follow?

The code looks like:

{url=http://www.cloud9photography.us/}Airplane Pictures{/url}

...except that in order to have it viewable here, I've "screwed it up" by substituting "{}" characters for the square brackets you actually need.

The text file has the REAL working code in it. Cut'n'paste that directly.

Matt: gray will work fine too.

ATK: you would not BELIEVE this guy's camera gear. And the PRINTER! Dear lordy on his heavenly throne, it's this big crazy monster. The quality of these prints is just off-scale :).

My personal favorite shot:

TB09_F-16_PETERMANCUS.jpg

As it was taken at some distance with a major-grade lens, it isn't as "sharp" as most of the others...but it's an awesome action shot.

What if this is just a sick experiment to see how gullible THR people are? :p
