Ok, TFL? Why did it go away?

I didnt read the entire forum, but did a quick scan and didnt find a reason that it was shut down. I kept seeing people's TFL #'s and wanted to join the board and learn more. I am sure I will not be the first or last to ask the question "Will it be back up?"

Any clue as to if it will or not?

The site was infested with Web Moths, and the cost of getting a team of exterminators in would have just been monumental.

I think this thread explains the 'why' better than the announcment.

TFL was Rich Lucibella and without him at the helm, TFL wouldn't have been the same. It was never a question of funding or second level support, it was the necessity to have more than 24 hours in a day and nobody on this earth is going to fix that problem. He tried to persuade some very trusted individuals to take over, but due to their commitments, they wouldn't have been able to put the time into it that TFL demanded and deserved.

Rich made the right decision to close it when he did.

Hmm, well that stinks. I suppose I understand why, but it still stinks that it had to happen. Serves me right for not getting active sooner and seeking info quicker.

It's still there as archives, and the search function works.

Most of the moderators from TFL are here at THR, plus a few "newbies", so it's not all that different.
