The Journal Record reports that Oklahoma will appeal the federal court judge's permanent injunction against the 2004 Oklahoma law forbidding companies to prohibit employees to keep arms in their vehicles in company parking lots.

The judge who set the permanent injunction, a Clinton appointee, reached into his bag of tricks and came up with a tale that the Oklahoma law violated OSHA. Personally, I fail to see the harm in keeping arms locked in vehicles. The mere bearing of arms is innocuous and benign. Locking them in a vehicle would be even more innocuous and benign - if there were levels of innocuousness and benignness - - -

Good on Oklahoma for appealing the ruling. I don't know how it is a health and safety issue for someone who can legally own a firearm to leave one in their car.

Score...and our AG is a Democrat, isn't he Woody?

Is there a similar injunction against the 2005 update of the law? I was never quite clear on that.

So anyone have a case number, name, link to court website.
The Gov and AG do not have notices about this that I could find.

Yup. You know how it is here in Oklahoma. We have the conservative party - the Democrats - and the REALLY conservative party - the Republicans.

As far as I know, there is no injunction against the liability protection for companies if an incident occurs because of a gun locked in someone's car.

I'll see if I can find something tomorrow. It's too close to beddy-by time here in Oklahoma.

Look at your rights and freedoms as what would be required to survive and be free as if there were no government. Governments come and go, but your rights live on. If you wish to survive government, you must protect with jealous resolve all the powers that come with your rights - especially with the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Without the power of those arms, you will perish with that government - or at its hand. B.E. Wood
