Even in the current state of affairs in this country, Oklahoma is proposing a bill for Constitutional Carry. It has passed committee. Please Oklahoma THR members, contact your Reps and urge support for this bill. This would be a huge win for our great state and our country. You can read the article below and there is a link to email or call your respective legislators to show support.

Thanks to all members who contact to show support.

This will pass easy here I would think.

I am not so sure. With the current budget shortfall, I think the bloodsuckers are looking for any way to enhance revenues.
Keep in mind, Gov Fallon once said she would veto any budget that did not include revenue increases.

I think, besides the "There will be BLOOD IN THE STREETS" argument, we will hear a shrill complaint regarding loss of fees.

When they passed it here in Maine the current structure stayed the same for permits. No permit only means in state and you need a permit to leave the state and still carryin non free states most times. So the revenue will still be there mostly. Don't let them tell you otherwise.:scrutiny:

You definitely have a good point there.

The way reciprocity is worded here in Okie land, out of state visitors may carry, while in Okie land, however they can carry legally in their home state.
In other words, if one needs a paper permit in Home state, that permit is the permit in Oklahoma.
If one'some state requires no permit to carry, then a state-issued ID serves as the permit.

Since Maine recognizes permitless carry, a Maine resident in Oklahoma may carry, with the Maine ID serving as the permit.

Yeah but in some states that require a permit for their population you are SOL there without one that is recognized as equivalent to that state. Gotta check the laws before you move about. It can be a headache.
