I used to get 50rd packs of Gold dot, Hornady, etc from kyles gun shop and these are supposed to be LE packs but its been awhile and I hear they maybe reloads. can anyone confirm?

Also I'm shooting a S&W M&P full size and really like the idea of 147gr and thinking of going +P but is it really needed?

what about shooting old ammo. if I have some hollow points from 6-7yrs ago is that okay? im using these for defense in a work environment so need the best.

Speer does sell their GDHP ammo in 50 round boxes, I buy them that way. Some people claim they are not as accurate but they are the same ammo as in the 20 round boxes only less expensive. The companies only went to smaller boxes for marketing. When they sold ammo for $20 in 50 round boxes shooters bought it. When they raised the price no one wanted to pay $60 for a box of ammo so they made the boxes smaller and the price was back to where shooters bought it.

thanks. I have never seen them so wanted to ask to be sure. sure don't want to pay $25-30 for 20 when I can get more for the same $

6-7 years is NOT old ammo. Many of us still shoot WWII era (and earlier) ammo very frequently. The key is good dry storage away from extended temp extremes.
