grey, into my fourth decade of shooting, no matter what the trends of the market or what philosophy one is exposed to, each individual will always have "favorites" outside of what is popular. The reasoning is based up a myriad of factors: gun Dad had, gun I saw in a movie, gift from an Uncle, whatever.

However, when this was a free country, that was the join of freedom--it didn't have to make sense or even be rational.:)

My latest tactical rifle. $90 is kinda old fashioned in a good sorta way.

Old Fashioned

I shoot most of my rounds through single action wheelguns, but I love to take out the 1911 for a day now and then. My oldest Winchester is 1880's vintage Mod. 73 in 44-40 Win. my newest is a 94 Trails End in .45 Colt. 2003. I 'spect it will shoot as smooth after I get 5-6 thous. rounds through it. I own some ss, but still like the light shinin on blue. Most of my stocks and grips are wood although some are barely recognizable. S.R.

Gee, maybe this is a generational thing.:what: But I happen to like the Blue Steel and Wood look myself. Don't own a polymer handgun but I have shot them and they just don't do it for me on the whole. Rifles that are used in the field can take a lot of abuse(as mine have) so I don't have a problem with synthetic stocks in this case, even though I don't currently have one. They just don't look as good in the gun case. :D

For me it’s a little bit old and a little bit new. Both my CC guns are revolvers, but each one has a pair of Crimson Trace laser grips on them. Hunting rifle: wood stock, HD shotgun: syn. stock. However both are pump action and both have scopes. New technology mixed with old school is ok with me.
