In 1979 I purchased an Old Model Ruger Single Six with LR and Magnum cylinders. It is a 3-screw and the last 3 digits of the SN are scribed on the cylinders. Sans holster wear it is in great shape.

Question is; When was it manufactured? The internet has failed me in my search.

SN is 404XXX

Thanks

22 Magnum (Instruction Manual)

Serial Year

Thanks, I never saw the second search box. I would also have not thought to look for Single Six Magnum.

Mine looks a lot like yours. Mine belonged to my grandfather and was made in 1961. In 1973 or there abouts he had the safety conversion done to it by Ruger. I have the box and all the original parts for it too.

According to the list, the serial number of your gun does not exist for the Super Single-Six (the convertible model), but does exist as a 1964 Single-Six Magnum (as Pat Riot pointed out). It is possible that a previous owner had a LR cylinder fitted to the gun.
