Came across a 1910 solid-frame 97 Winchester yesterday with a full choke barrel cut to 24".
Instead of a bead sight, it has a huge "Ghost-Ring" front sight.
The sight itself is made from light spring grade sheet steel. It wraps around the barrel and appears to be sweat-soldered on.
The sight itself is a very large ring almost the same diameter as the muzzle.
It has Patented - Perrine #3 stamped on it.
Any info on the sight, when it was made, etc. would be much appreciated.
Thanks
