Old Quality vs New Cheap Functionality

I carry my Bersa at times that is what I would hope to have on me it is 16+ I carry it when I go to big city I also carry my S&W Md 12 some time a round home.

If I knew I'd be attacked and you went wherever anyway you need to rethink the places you go. And learn to carry a rifle. snicker.
Makes no difference what you have as long as you have it and you can shoot it well enough.
Absolutely would not want a police trade-in S&W Model 10 that is as it came from the PD.

Do I get to take it home after the bizarre hypothetical? Because if so, the old quality.

If I don't get to keep it... meh, I think I'd still take the old quality.

You can have both in the same package. There are many other better choices. Nothing wrong with an old revolver though. They just work.

Well if you leave out the whole attack thing then what you're asking is which cheap gun, one from the past or one from the present?

A cheap gun is a cheap gun if it's all you can afford then so be it.

I'll take the Blaster over the light saber every time for SD.

6 rounds......12 rounds......17 rounds....... God forbid you ever find yourself in a bad situation......you will be out of time long before you are out of ammo. ;)

If I KNEW I would be attacked by multiple assailants..........I would be carrying a M249 SAW and not a handgun of any type!

But if limited to the above choices I would go with the M10. I have trained and competed with revolvers for years and would be comfortable with it, and so would be more likely to be effective with it.

And if you take out the first couple of attackers it tends to take the aggression out of the rest, so capacity (to me) does not matter as much as accuracy and reliability.

Thats your assumption.

It reminds me of a martial instructional video where the narrator says during a multiple person attack reenactment" see how the agressor backs away as xyz does this and this move."

If you want to tie one hand behind your back go ahead but I think it is bad advice.

This question makes little sense. If you are being attacked by multiple attackers, of course you want a gun with higher capacity than a six shooter.

But those of us that carry a revolver, or a lower capacity semi auto believe it is unlikely that we will be attacked by multiple aggressors.

So forget the question posted above, and buy a high quality gun, and carry one with enough capacity to make you feel comfortable. Or better yet, move to a safer area.
