Help picking new handgun: 9mm vs 45ACP

I don't want to be rude, but I suggest you ditch your handgun collection and gather money you have and buy these three and your are pretty much covered at all basis:

1. Ruger gp100 .357 3"
2. Sig P220 elite SS with rosewood grips
3. HK USP 9mm

I didn't vote for any of them, my pick would be P30 H&K in either 9 or 40. I have the 9 and it is 15 rounds. Assuming your state allows Hi-caps that is what I would get. Not sure what the cap on the 40 S&W's are. You will however pay almost twice you money goal for a P30. You could maybe find a used one a bit cheaper. I notice you didn't mention Beretta 92fs they are used closer to your price cap and dead reliable and hi-cap.
