The rifle model won't affect ballistics. The barrel length will affect velocity which will affect trajectory.

You can go to this link: http://www.remington.com/products/ammunition/ballistics/
Once there, you can select .243 from a drop down list. Then you will get a list of Remington's loadings to select from. Pick the 100 grain loading you have and you will have ballistics that should be close to what your rifle will shoot.
As noted, your barrel length will affect your bullet's speed. I believe Remington's charts reflect test firings from a 24" barrel.
There are other ballistics available on the internet.

your bbl will either be 18 or 22 inches, they made it in 243, in 2 lengths... Hopefully you got the 22 inch model, to take more of an advantage of the speed gain. Probably as much as 200 fps, between the two, I say at least 150.

man, looking at that stat page, the 75 grainer with a , get this, 250 zero!!, will only drop 30 inches out to 500 yds. That is sick!!!!

788s were good guns. Most were extremely accurate. Sometimes took a little fiddling with the stock bedding or the load to bring it out; but out of the 4 I've owned, only one wouldn't do better than MOA....a couple would do much better. Not bad for a Remington cheapie model. Back in the day they often outshone the M700s out of the box.
I've got a soft spot for them. Let us know how it shoots.

My problem is i can only find the ballistics for the 243 Win. i need to find a Rem. btw Orange it has always hit a deers vital never has failed with my dad and my 3 other bros i shot like 5-6 deer still hasnt missed but i shot all mine up to 100 yards targeted 2 inch high at 100

The 788 was made in both .243 Winchester and 6mm Remington (aka .244 Remington). They both used 6mm/.243 bullets. The .243 Winchester was based on the .308 Winchester cartridge case. I believe the 6mm/.244 Rem. was based on the 7x57 case and was slightly hotter than the .243 Winchester. The cartridges are NOT interchangeable.

a 6 milly should be doing about 200 fps faster than a 243, of equal weight bullets.

For all practical use, sight in with a 100-grain bullet for two inches high at 100 yards. That will zero at 200 yards, as near as makes no nevermind. The bullet will then be around three inches low at 250 and about six inches low at 300. That's "give or take an inch" for the 250- and 300-yard distances.
FWIW, that sight-in works for just about all "deer hunting" cartridges, up through the '06 150-grain.

The Remington website has some good info. It may not exactly fit your gun but without a chronograph it will get you on the trail especially if you use their ammo.
