I have a question for any of you guys who are into older revolvers: is there such thing as a Colt 32/40 revolver, and if so, what would one in good condition (90% bluing) be worth?

There are Colt .32-20s and Colt .38-40s, but .32-40 is a rifle round chambered by Winchester and Marlin.

There were a lot of different Colts in each of those calibers. A SAA would be worth a lot more than an Army Special or even a New Service. So if you want more, you have to give more; a detailed description and/or pictures.

The guy who has it is not a gunny at all and may have been mistaken. If I recall, he said it was an army model, and it may have been the .38-40.

OK, called my buddy back. It is an "Army Special" 32-20. It is in great condition, with most of the bluing still intact. The guy owns some apartment buildings, and one of the ladies sold him 9 different guns for $900.00 because she didn't want her delinquent relatives to get ahold of them. One of the others is a Smith and Wesson model 1000 shotgun in mint condition.

Thanks for the info guys.
