Picking up some discontinued bullets from another forum. Hornady 154 RN and Hornady 175 RN

I'll be shooting them in my .280 Rem for close range heavy deer, and would like to keep velocities in the 7mm mauser range.

I have IMR 4350, 4064, and a small quantity of IMR 4831. Anybody have experience along these lines?

I know there are bullets out there that will do everything I could ask from my .280, I use them, I just like the old timey round noses when the range is close enough.

I’ve used the 170gr Sierra in my 7mm08.
Hornady has data.
Don’t be surprised at the performance and accuracy. Over 100yrs of experience in perfecting the design and construction.

those rn hornady bullets were great, sucks they discontinued them. they kill quick, imr 4350 is what i use for my 7 mauser 7x57ackley and 7 wsm 4831 gets some good use to. i saw 3 new boxes of 175 rn at one gun show but did not buy them, should have they were $15 a box.
