Just got given an old shotgun. I need help to i.d it. It has '' oyez arms co liege belgium '' on top of the barrell and says '' cockerill steel choke '' on the side of both barrells. double barrell 12 gauge.

any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Internet sources list Oyez Arms as a pistol maker in Liege Belgium in cahoots with Pieper on their 1909 models and with a German maker's code for guns produced during the WW II occupation of Belgium.

Obviously they turned out some shotguns. Not only do you have one, the Oyez Hazards shotgun is on a list of firearms approved for import into NZ.

Cockerill Steel is the big Belgian steel manufacturer, comparable to Krupp in Germany and Whitworth in England. They didn't make the gun and probably not even the barrels, just the steel that went into it.
