What are the going prices for a used Old Model SS Vaquero & also a used Old Model Bisley SS Vaquero. I was at Cabelas in Wichita Ks, a few day ago in their Gun Liberay and they had one of each used, SS, fake ivory grips in 45 LC. Both looked in very good condiction, but the price on the old Vaquero was $ 750.00 & the Bisley Vaquero was $ 690.00. Is this the going price for these Old Rugers now. If so I should have bought a Pickup Truck load of them, a few years back. Always a day late and a dollar short.

I was in Cabellas looking, and I thought to myself, have guns really gone up this much? Almost a grand for a redhawk. Then I sawing was in the used gun section

Went to the gun show the next week and all was good again.

Prices...... Way up.....

I've been keeping my eyes out for a Ruger Vaquero for the last couple of years and if you can find one (Depending upon condition) for under $500.00, snatch it up.

About 3 years ago I bought a used color case/blued original Ruger Bisley Vaquero at a very good price and it's one of my favorite guns to shoot. IMO A cost of $750 is too high a price but that's normal for Cabela's. I say $750 is too much because the Retail price of a brand new Bisley Vaquero is $809 http://ruger.com/products/vaqueroBisley/models.html with a street price of only $607 from places like Bud's Gunshop online. (and they have it in stock) http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/...45+LC+Bisley+Vaquero+w5.5"+BarrelHigh+Gloss+S

Why buy a used Bisley Vaquero for $750 when you can buy a brand new one for $607 including S&H? Of course it's a new Vaquero but with that price difference is it really worth almost $200 for the slightly larger frame?

Used gun pricing at Cabela's doesn't really reflect the actual market. They will deal, but only on guns that have been sitting in the Gun Libraries for a while.

I've always thought that Cabela's was where you went for a gun you absolutely couldn't live without, and didn't care a whole lot about what you paid.

A couple of years ago, they had a S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman which was an obvious refinish to a satin nickel finish. Someone there must have thought it was a rare Highway Patrolman (one of the noted "salesman's sample"). The gun was priced at nearly $1,600. The gun was probably not worth more than $375. I sent at least four emails to them before it finally disappeared from the Gun Library. They never did list as "sold".

I just picked up a couple for under 1k but that was the friend price. Love them

I am a sass shooter who uses nmv. They run around $500 to $550 in my area. Also check out the sass wire clasifieds there always rugers being sold
