So I came across two pictures. One of a Glock 17L and the other of a Luger P08 Artillery. With the add-ons they looks very similar. I just thought this was kind of neat. Does anyone know of any other modern day equivalents of older guns?

You do know that most if not all guns can be modified , you can either buy the parts ,just by browsing the firearm supported forums or fan forums and you can see what others have done , =even this forum offers tons of valuable experience , When I bought a Kel-tec sub 2000 .40sw , I had know idea the kinds of mods that could be done , if your interested look of fan sites for particular guns , you'll see some pretty wild configuration of modern guns, I modified my AK with parts from a shotgun and it looks awesome , plus I recently painted my Sub 2000 and AK in camoflage patterns and they look sweet!

Its endless what you can do , dont be afraid , try it
! If your a machinist , the doors wide open!!

Interesting that the new gun is configured illegally (unless you have it registered as an AOW), but the old gun is legal (collector's exemption, I believe--IANAL).

I would bet that glock is all legal, be it a dealer sample of LE agency gun. There is definitely a selector switch on the back of the slide.

Can't think of any examples of what you're after at the moment

I'm pretty sure that's a slide cocking handle.

There's the FSSG selector that replaces the Glock rear slide plate; I just can't tell if that picture is one.

And legal is a tricky word: even if that is a dealer-legal machiepistol, well, that's not really going to be legal for me.

Thats the style selector I was thinking of. I know how an 18 is setup.

And you are correct, legal is a tricky work here, seeing as its availability would be limited to certain dealers and LE agencies, it would also not be legal for me.

There are a number of stocked full auto pistols.
The Beretta 93 and the Mauser Model 712 Schnellfeur are just a couple.
Of course they lack the modern tendency to scab on searchlights, lasers, and scope sights, but those were not thought necessary at the time, even when available.

As said anything made after 1986 is not legal for possession by anybody but a government agency or a manufacturer or dealer doing business with the government. That is not "legal" in my book, even if you are generously allowed to pay extortionate prices for older guns by jumping through hoops.
