Went to the local gun show today. One of the tables had a display of old scopes for sale. I spotted a Weaver 4 power scope for sale for $100.00 with exposed adj. knobs. I have the same scope on my vintage Savage--Springfield 850 hardware store gun that I bought in 1958 and the scope at the same time. Mine has teardrop adj. covers and was told they were worth about $20..00 less. I don't remember how much I paid for the scope but I know I paid $35.00 for the gun, (still have the trigger tag) Both the scope and the rifle are in perfect cond. and shoot well. I sure hope I'm worth more the older I get but I doubt it:D Old stuff rules

Exposed knobs means it was a very old .22 scope, not a 1950's -60's K-4 1" scope.

So, it was overpriced by about $80 bucks!

Just wondering

Was not looking to buy. seems like all the old stuff that we took for granted all of a sudden becomes valuable. I have a Remington fixed blade knife that I have used throughtout my hunting days and belonged to my father. it's a RH28 and worth about $200.00 retail Whotdathunk :what:

It sounds like an old Weaver 440. I'd guess $100 is a little bit high.

The Weaver 330's (I think they are 2.75 power) command $200 and up because they are period correct for 1903A4 Sniper rifle replicas.
