I have a marlin / glenfield model 36. It has the same mechanism as the current 336. I'm pretty sure it was made in the mid to late 1960's.
Many years ago I started getting light primer strikes which led to an occasional falire to fire. I had a gunsmiith replace the locking block. It's been fine eversince.
Does anyone know if these older marlins are as strong as the newer ones?
