PFC Sherri Gallagher broke the oldest record in High Power shooting: the 1000 point aggregate.

Gallagher shot a 999-66x to win the Remington-Bushmaster Open, breaking Eric England's 41-year-old record of a 998-45x.(I cut and pasted this.)

She has set 5 national records this year. Outstanding and it couldn't happen to a nicer person.

Sherri shot a 500-29 today in the team match.

Thats 150 shots over 2 days and she only shot 1 nine.

She will be the winningest person in highpower ever in the future. Unlimited support and practice is all she needed from the AMU.

No, she's obviously related to her mom. :)

I copied this post off another board:
_________

In 100+ degree temperatures, PFC Sherri Gallagher of the USAMU broke the oldest record in High Power shooting: the 1000 point aggregate.

Gallagher shot a 999-67x to win the Remington-Bushmaster Open, breaking Eric England's 41-year-old record of a 998-45x.

In perfect symmetry, both records were set on Easley Range, Fort Benning, GA.

Her Scores:

200SF: 199-11x
200RF: 200-17x
300RF: 200-15x
600SF#1: 200-12x
600#2: 200-11x

To cap off the weekend, Sherri shot her second perfect team score in a row.

She had a 500-29x today, backing up her 500-31x she shot in Oak ridge at the Regional two weeks ago.

Her 200-17x was a new women’s record for sitting. She also set the new 300 RF women's record two weeks ago at Oak Ridge, TN, shooting a 200-16x.

There are only 2 full course women’s records Sherri does not hold, yet-the 600 SF (200-19x), and the National Championship Aggregate (2378). They are both held by her Mom.

Of the 300 shots that she has fired in competition this season, she has only dropped 6 points out of a possible 3000.

i guess i am alittle ignorant about competitive shooting, but what was the distance

I am new to the forum, and am still learning all the acronyms. What does SMK mean? I googled the term but nothing helpful came up. Also, was PFC Gallagher using a sling?

Thanks
