Where are you located? I'm sure somebody has an American rifle you can use for the pictures. If you were near me you could use my Garand and my AR-15.

IGB,

Good photography. I really like that SKS. Can you fill us in on any details about that stock? Did you refinish it? If so, can you tell us what you did? It looks great. (You can start another thread, if you would rather.) Makes me want to refinish mine.

I agree about an American rifle being more appropriate to the message, but when I first saw the SKS, I kind of liked it anyway. To me it conveys a sense of using whatever tools/guns we have at our disposal to accomplish the task. I still like it.

Good work.

I like version 1 of photo 2. If the OD background was a tan or kahki color it would contrast with the rifle better and be more obvious as to what it is. Otherwise, nice lighting and photography......... that's a cool paint job for a rattle-can project. :D

Houndawg,

I am in Oregon. An AR-15 would be a nice touch, I think you are right about that.

Steve,

Thanks. I love the wood on that SKS. I actually haven't done anything to it. It's just the way it was when I bought it.

And the day that I picked this one up, there was another in the store that had even nicer wood on it. Almost looked like it was a laminated stock.

I.G.B.
