I didn't even know. BTW what is wrong with my rifle?

looks like a good shooter to me. Scope seems kinda small for a heavy barrel bench rifle. I would have a 24x scope and bi-pod, but that is more of a prefrence thing and if you like it this way, it is not wrong.

Obviosly you do use it, but I have a question. How on earth do you remove the fore grip to clean the barrel and the area around the barrel nut? It seems like a big gaping hole for stuff to get in but no way to get it off.

BTW what is wrong with my rifle?

1) Using a thermold mag? ( MY opinion= junk)
2) Another vote on cleanliness?
3) Scope definately looks canted.

I don't think the open dust cover and lack of a sling or BUIS could be considered wrong.

Well, why would you want the higher, see-through scope rings if there's nothing to see through them? Unless it's set up for some kind of giant squirrel with cheeks full of acorns, proper cheekweld has got to be a bit of an issue.

1. Judging from the powder marks, you have a bad crown. Could be the photo but it looks like a problem is indicated at the 3:00 position.

2. Canted scope

3. stock looks weird

4. New camera needed

^ I like this one......but Imma have to go with something is wrong with the carrier. Do you have a .22lr mod inside?

The scope mount bolts (to picatinny rail) are on the wrong side. Should be on the off side of the ejection port so as not to have any chance to interfere with ejection.:uhoh:

I would definately get that forward sling swivel off the gas block and on the float tube where it belongs! Slinging up where it is will certainly change the POI.

I noticed it's dirty, very dirty. Wolf shoots just fine in it and it's really non-corrosive. :)

The other stuff stuck on it's not mine, I think it was pieced together for the photo shoot. The rings are quick detach see through ones a friend has. I think the scope is the cheap simmons I picked up a while back or it's a S&W branded one. I'll point out to my friend that he should not mount the scope like that in the future. :)

It does have the forward assist notches, it's a standard chrome bolt carrier. The forward assist looks bent in the photo, not sure why. It's fine on the gun.

I'll make note to remove the sling connection point on the gas block. I want an attachment point on the free float tube for a bipod so it will get something that does both and is stable. I intend to get the gas block with the rail on top and bottom because I want a light on it. I would note that carrying this thing farther than from the car to the bench is a task for a masochist, it's a heavy pig.

I can buy and carry four simmons scopes for the price of one set of iron sights I can't use. I might be able to use a peep sight at short range but I can actually aim it fine at short ranges with no optics at all.

Why do you want to put a light on a bench rifle? You said yourself it's too heavy, and it looks like it's too long for any sort of resonable CQB.

Because everybody needs an AR that's been mall ninja'd. It's just one of those gotta have things. You know, like a 1911, an AK and a wheel gun?

BTW what is wrong with my rifle?

-Scope is canted about 10 degrees clockwise
-See-thru mounts with nothing to see
-It's dirty

Clean it, loose the sling swivels, get some normal scope mounts. IMO, dust covers should be closed when the weapon is not being fired. Oh yeah, get some regular steel mags with green followers.

4) It's got a tiny hole in front instead of a proper .308

I have to agree with that point.;)
