This is a great example of the need to control your brain. Certainly Denis Ten was extremely physically fit, agile and quick, but he got into a brawl with two guys who were trying to steal his car mirrors and now he's dead.

Figure skating doesn't qualify you for hand-to-hand combat. I agree that car mirrors aren't worth fighting for. If you are investigated for using force against the thieves, your legal bills will far exceed that value of what they tried to steal.

I dunno about the mirrors, but I had the front corner lights on my car two cars ago stolen so many times that I gave up replacing them.

Who the hell steals car mirrors?

I work in the used-car business, and you'd be surprised at how much they can cost, depending on make, model, and features. They're relatively small, and easy to remove in a hurry and are in high demand in urban areas, where they tend to take a lot of damage.
While it's been a few years since I ordered parts (dealership went under), they can be worth a few hundred dollars each, more for some import or classic models.
