First of all Hellow to all I am new here!
I swore off this, about every April I get the new gun bug I had about 6-8 guns on my wish list rimfires to double barrel Coach guns B/P and Smokeless short and long guns...
I decided on a wonder 9 and looked into a Ruger P95. a good gun a Gov't contract gun and backordered indefinately. Down in flames! I then looked into a nice glitzy Stainless target Model Ruger with white grips and a fluted bull barrel! Backordered too!
I then looked at getting alittle chrome .22 derringer for my mini-CAS ensamble but since I already had a Chrome .38 sp'l there was no use replacing it aas a sidematch gun. That .38 packs a whollop!
Lastly, I typed in Cabelas and through the various cool models available! Man there were sheriff Models stubby Remingtons and even a 6 1/2" .36 and a new trio of Pocket .32 Remingtons!
Naw the 32's are too anemic and I already have 2 .44 remington 1863's I'm really happy with my 5 1/2" .44 Remington!
See what initated all this was that I totally wore out my not so old Trail gun (a Cimmaron Arms Plinkerton) It took less than 1500 rounds to destroy the cheapo Italian innardes. It was a nice looking full Colt sized .22LR revolver.
I kept cruizing the Cabellas site looking for somthing cool for a trail gun and something to cure my want for a little more o=power in the Trail Gun.
A great Sale price caught my eye!!!
A Steel Framed Navy Model Piettia .36 for only $199???
I had to see this!
Sure enough it is Gov't issue Navy Model discounted $80 from the origonal price! I already have a Navy London Model but you can't have too many '51 Navies especally a "correct" .36 caliber one!
I went through the usual frustrating order sequence filled out all the info and hit the order button and it's backordered till 4/30/11! ARUGH!!!
Well I want this one so bad that I'll wait and besides the day is my beloved little deceased sister in law's birthday so I KNOW little Lizzie will watch over it and make sure I get a winner! I just have a good feeling about it! Besides what would be cooler than packing a nice quick on the "pull" (in a Cross Draw) high velocity .36 trail gun? I have a bit of experience with the caliber and always admired the Open-Top Colt-Style revolvers! I want to learn as much as I can about the caliber too.
