After hearing a few folks mention them and watching a demo video of the Possum Hollow Kwick Case Trimmer on YouTube, I decided to order one.

It arrived today.

It is freakin' sweet! For approximately $30 with the power drill adapter, this thing just tears through my .223 brass. It is much faster than my Lee Zip Trim and it is also very consistent. Using it by hand is slow, but the drill makes it take seconds. It leaves the edges pretty sharp, so chamfering and deburring are a must.

Is it a Giraud? No. But it's less than 1/10th the price of that fine piece of machinery. For those of us on a budget, it is a great piece of equipment.

I want to pick one up as well if midway ever has them in stock when I'm ordering other stuff.

Soybomb, just order it from one of PH's distributors. Shooter's Supply (linked above) had them in stock this week when I ordered. I just called and placed the order, had it 2 (3?) days later.

After shipping, it was less than $40 for the trimmer and adapter. Sure beats waiting on Midway.

Yep, one of the best investments I ever made. I use it in my drill press along with an adapter for my RCBS deburring tool. I can now go through a 1000 cases in about an hour and a half. Since I use RCBS X-Dies to resize I only have to trim the brass once so the Possum Hollow trimmer is the most economical trimming brass for me.

The possum Hollow uses the shoulder datum to determine the correct length. You can adjust it if need be with a set screw, but I haven't found a need to so far. This is a no brainier trimmer like the Giraud or Gracy.
