So I got one of those expensive Russian synthetic adjustable stocks from Centerfire Systems awhile back. I started working on installing it a few months ago, but removing the wood stock was a real pain so I set the project aside for a little while. I just recently started working on it again and finally got the stock off. I wasn't able to salvage the stock, but I did salvage the handguards as they were being cooperative unlike the stock.

The wood stock was secured with 2 screws in the top, and it had a place for a pistol grip screw even though it wasn't being used - probably because there wasn't a hole cut in the receiver for it.

The synthetic stock only has a place for 1 screw on top, and has a pistol grip screw. Handling the rifle with just the one screw in place, it feels pretty secure. Should I go ahead and drill a hole in the receiver for the pistol grip screw, or do you guys think it will be ok without it?
