On the shelf bullets

I just wish Hornady would start producing the XTP Mag again in 45 cal. My 460 is hungry and standard jacketing doesn’t stay on the bullet in this round. Haven’t seen a single box in stores or online since the plandemic took hold.
Unfortunately specialty stuff will only come after the buying slows

I have 30. I used to run them in Sabots. But switched to a different bullet. If you want I could mail then to you.

Like everyone else has mentioned. Hornady dominates currently.

I have been able to find Barnes frequently in everything except the heavier bullets in .284. I almost pulled the trigger on some 150 gr TTSXs today but I’m holding out for Accubonds, 160 grains. Those babies haven’t been available anywhere for 2 years. I have 109 left, and 40 rounds loaded.

Actually, .284 seems to be the hardest bullets to find right now.

.308 seems pretty common as well as 6.5s.

Be patient!

I have been finding most of what I need online but only purchase when I get free shipping.
I really wish Speer would get their act together. Only bullets I need that I can't find are Speer.

That is very generous and I thank you. I’ve got a supply of other bullets for now that’ll keep me busy. The XTP Mag bullet has been the best so far, with my Leupold scope I was able to get a 1.5” group at 100 yards from a rest. That was one group, most are slightly larger. Once again, thank you for the offer.

Try finding 120 or 140 gr 7mm pills from any maker. I got an alert awhile back and grabbed some game kings but I have not seen any Noslers or Sierras elsewhere. Plenty of 165s and above but no hunting bullets.

I BELIEVE I have several 100 of 140 gr 7mm.

I will check my stash, when I get home.

I get most on my handgun bullets from RMR, never had to wait for an "out of stock" item or long shipping delays
Jake at RMR got "burnt" during early days of his business when his wholesale order got cut and outpriced by manufacturer of bullets he was retailing during a component shortage (Won't mention the name of bullet manufacturer).

That partly pushed him to manufacture his own jacketed bullets to "match grade" standards and during the "Great Component Shortage" of 2013, he decided to more than double his production capacity so he could produce bullets without being "out of stock".

Well, after ELEY and other ammunition manufacturers contracted with RMR, I think he like ended up with quadrupled production capacity so during Covid component shortage, he was mostly "in stock" with some delays.

My good friend knows Jake from RMR enough to call him and give him a hard time. So he did just that, the other day he called Jake because he didn’t have any 30 carbine bullets available online. Jake called back a few minutes later and said, check the website in about 15 minutes. Now, if that’s not great service then I don’t know what is.

I shot their 9mm when I had one and I order their 69 for my 223 by the thousand. I am keen on trying his 75 when I need to order again and I get all my lead from them. I have nothing but the best things to say about Jake and rmr. If they produced a 165-168 30 caliber bullet in house I'm sure they would be all I ever use.
