Finally went through my last 3000 while slowlyyyy losing a little at a time. I believe I used Elite but when I search there really isn't any info. I guess there's no way to "know" its once fired but I assume there is a go-to?
I assume you are talking about pistol brass? Unless you buy new you will never know how many times a case might have been fired but that
is really not an issue at all. As long as there is no obvious damage and no weird bulge you are good to go. I have cases that I reloaded for at least 10 years.
All of them have done a good job for me. Aardvark is a little more expensive than the others but their brass is hand sorted before being tumbled in stainless steel pins so it is always bright and has always had the smallest number of rejected cases.
I've bought many thousands of cases from Yankee 2500 in the for sale section of this site and always been very pleased. I don't know him or in anyway affiliated with him, just a happy customer.
I have never needed to purchase 9MM (I currently have three 5GAL buckets full) but have purchased from Vongh and Yankee 2500 from here on the reloading for sale. Both have provided me with large amounts of quality brass. As you can see there are many good vendors. Personally I like uncleaned brass and if I can get from a source that will guarantee it is once fired all the better. That applies to bottle necked/rimmed brass. Some 9MM brass now has crimped primer pockets and getting it that way will assure you it is only once fired. My pistol brass seems to get lost before it wears out though so I am not as fussy about it being once fired. FWIW I had collected so much 40 S&W brass that I bought a set of dies and a couple pistols just so that I had a justification to keep it.
I have purchased 45acp and .223 from yankee2500 and was very pleased. Generous count (always a little over promised) and I don't recall having to cull a single piece during inspection. Order by the 1000 to spread out the flat rate shipping cost.
