Hellp all.
I currently own two Rem 870s and love them. I am pretty good (in my own little world at least:neener: ) at skeet. I am going to venture into shotgun hunting on my piece of land that I bought a little while back. I also have one 870 setup for HD.

I was looking at the REM 1100 and the Browning BPS cantilever.

I am loking for a gun that will work on the skeet field, hunting and HD. I also consider that in most realistic SHTF scenarios a shotgun would be the most useful item especially if it can takle my first 3 requirments. I would be getting a rifled slug barrel most probably with a cantilever mount, a skeet barrel and possibly a 20" choked barrel.

I swear by Rem and my father swears by Browning. Most likely whatever I get my father will also get.

What kind of prices can I expect for either one and what about reliability?

Thanks much

The 1100 and the BPS are both good shotguns, and almost approach the 870 in reliability and versatility. Get one or both if you wish, but you already have two paragons of versatility.

Any excuse to buy another shooter, but sounds like you're already there.

Perhaps to make your current 870s more versitile, consider a 18-24" screw-in choke barrel (if you don't already have it) & you're set for anything you'd want to do.
