I was watching Rush Hour with Jackie Chan last night and I saw him take apart a Beretta 92 with one hand. Has anyone else seen this? I know it's just a movie, but is it possible? Just looking at my S&W M&P and I'm sure no one could do it.

Not something you would want to try when one is pointed at you. Good way to get shot. Also Mel Gibson lost his Beretta in the same manner in one of the Lethal Weapon movies. Bad buy took it apart as it was pointing at him, Mel should have shot him and shortened the movie by 90 minutes LOL.

The scene I was referring to in Rush Hour has Jackie Chan taking down the gun that he is holding, not someone else.

Not having seen the movie in a long time... How to one handed take down a M92/M96:

1: Hold by the slide, muzzle upwards
2: Put middle or index finger on the take down button on the right side of the frame
3: While holding take down button in, rotate take down lever with thumb.
4: While holding only the slide, move arm vigorously towards the ground.

The frame should drop free of the slide if done right.

It is one of my hands on demonstrations I use in classes...it is always good for a few laughs...and interestingly almost always generates some good discussion.

Tried it.

Frame landed on toe.

I'm suing.

He had performed the procedure in at least one other movie later on. IIRC, he had done it in Mr. Nice Guy.
