Magnum P.I. "Did you see the sunrise?" episode in the 1980s

Thomas Magnum, despite being a very good and honorable person, decides to kill in cold blood "Ivan" the hideous and sadistic Russian spy and hit man, responsible for the torture and death of many people and among them some of Magnum's friends and comrades.

I remember I wanted to buy a 1911 after seeing this episode....that big .45 caliber muzzle hole and the powerful muzzle flash and blast really impressed me at that time :D:evil:

Tom Selleck is a heck of a guy. Loved that show back in the day.

Magnum used a 9mm 1911 (posing as a .45, but 9mm's worked with blanks better). On occasion, you can see him loading a magazine with the beveled body of the 9mm mag, or the smaller muzzle in some close ups of the gun in some scenes.:D

Yep, I remember watching that the night it aired. Very different moment in television and very compelling. Standards are very different now!

I remember that episode -- in fact I have it on VHS somewhere. The episode that ended "not with a whimper, but a Bang!":D

One of the better episodes. I enjoyed the series, but Magnum's "little voice" often irked me.

Selleck is a shooter too. I remember when he and Rosie got into it on her stupid talkshow. Great clip, I have another...not to steal the thread...but it is in the same era and if you haven't seen it before is worth a watch.

    Roll MIAMI VICE!!!
