I've used gunbroker.com, auctionarms.com, and gunsamerica.com.

Had the best luck with gunbroker, but found some screaming deals on auctionarms as well.
 
there are many good ammo places.

From what I can tell, most of the guns sold on the various auction sites are no bargains. You would probably do as well just getting it from a friendly local dealer, after paying s/h and the dealer's fees.

Picked up a S&W M&P 9mm from Bud's for $399! Holy smokes, I'd get that all back if I traded it in for something else tomorrow!

Which I don't plan to, by the way. Great gun. Great service from Bud's.
 
Besides the ones above (except ammoman, he'll screw you if there is a problem), I've gotten most of my great deals from the classified sections of THR, arfcom, and glocktalk.
