Got in my NORSSO slide for my P80 build and I had planned on using the new Burris Fastfire IV red dot. Still saving up for one and also they are incredibly hard to find for some reason. I have a Vortex Venom and a Burris Fastfire III that are both good. I like the Burris a little better, so checked when ordering the slide that the Vortex Venom, Viper, and Burris red dots all shared the same mounting pattern.
When ordering, I must have got the Venom and Viper mixed up and stated Vortex Viper by mistake. No worries, they are the same mount pattern.
Got the pistol put together today and decided to test functioning and accuracy with the Vortex Venom I had.
Oops! Won't fit! Yes, the mounting pattern for the holes and posts are the same, but the Vortex Venom and Burris Fastfire III both have rounded bodies, while the Vortex Viper is straight across.

I can't attach either my Venom or Fastfire III to my new slide... Seriously pissed off. Not mad at NORSSO. They machined the slide perfectly for the RMR I indicated. They are completely not at fault. This is entirely on me.
So, trying to figure out what to do. Since I haven't bought a Fastfire IV, I can simply order a Vortex Viper and be done with it. But, the reason I decided on the FF4 is because it had the large circle with a dot in the middle reticle. I have astigmatism and find that style of reticle to be fast and accurate. Regular 3 MOA dots are misshapen blobs and slower for me to pick up.
Anyone happen to know that other red dots use the same mounting pattern as the Vortex Viper with a straight body and might have the reticle I'm looking for?

A few of the Holosun optics use a dot-in-circle reticle that fit the RMR footprint. Might be easier than having the slide re milled.
