I was preping some 7mm RM mag. brass that I just got in the mail the other day, and when started to trim the first case I instantly noticed more than the usual slice of metal coming off. I only did this on the first case, so no big deal. However, the trim too length is 2.490" with a max of 2.500", I took it down to 2.482", or .008" below minimum. I can still load this without any problems right? My throat on my 7 mags are very shallow, so I'm not at all concerned about having enough neck to bullet contact.
Thanks, GS

You should have no problems using cases that are a little short. After a couple of firings, they will grow anyway. Too long cases are a different matter.

Most of the once fired factory new brass I get is shorter then .020" of max. Even after FL sizing.
