Hi all
I live in Norfolk VA and I'm looking into open carrying my C&B pistol (the 1858 Remington is scary enough for where I live) I do have a few questions #1. can i keep the weapon loaded with/without caps? and #2 I have a leather holster (picture posted on the bottom) will this holster fit the laws of the state?
Thank you in advanced
Matt.

I don't see why not, that holster would be perfectly fine. To answer your second question, I believe that you CAN carry it with caps, as long as you have the safety notches for the hammer to prevent accidental discharging. I am not a lawyer, however.

There is no such requirement in Virginia law.

Allow me to educate you: 'C&B pistols' are not concidered loaded if caps are not installed.

That's true, I didn't even pick up on that :D. It is kinda difficult to keep a C&B loaded with no caps!

#1 was ment more as a two part question as in can I have it loaded with caps, or do they need to be off. I don't really like the idea of having to keep them off those little things get everywhere when I try to load at the range needless to say in a combat situation.
