Open Carry Law Change Procedure

If one wanted to start a petition, or write a letter to a representative to get laws on open carry reevaluated, how would one start to go about doing such a thing in oh, say, OK? Personally, I believe that it is a positive thing for all members in society to open carry. I don't think that we should have to hide them, and I know there are a lot of others in my area that feel the same.

If open carry is illegal where you live, pursue getting the law changed. If it’s already legal, but frowned upon, the solution is not in writing it into law, but in exercising your right to carry openly.

It's illegal here. I don't know whether or not the community would be receptive, but it seems like OK is prime for change, as they have recently accepted tattoos and the lottery. On the flip side, we will be as smoke-free as CA by the year 2013, due to a recently-passed bill. I will dig into opencarry.org and see if I can find some course of action there. Thanks!
