Opinion Change - Safety Course Should Be Required

With this topic I always have to wonder what training would be required?
Would it simply cover safety or would we go into tactics?
Would the programs then be tailored to age or demographics?
Who would give the training ex military, LEO, boy scout leaders, victims of violent crime or lawyers?
It all matters because that is the baggage that comes with life experience.

Haven't read all 8 pages of the thread, however I believe the decrease in accidents is in large part due to Hunter Safety being required in most states. Now with the flood of new owners with no intention to hunt we'll see if it holds.
I've always said "everyone has the RIGHT to own a gun, some people just shouldn't.
Being a Range Safety Officer and Rifle Instructor I've seen some interesting things the past few years.
