Buds has got a good deal on on the CW40 and I think I will use the collective wisdom of the board before I buy a CW.

I've owned a PM9, currently own a CW9 and my grandfather has had an MK9 for years and years. I feel I've shot each enough to form an opinion on them.

I chose decent. I really like the guns for their purpose, and that is a small carry gun.

Mine have been reliable (The CW moreso than the PM) and the triggers are very nice on them.

They aren't as 'refined' as other guns and I feel the 40 in this series is too snappy to be a defensive gun.

They are accurate but take practice to shoot well. Mine is not a range blaster but it accompanies me for over 50% of the time I carry a gun. I carry it in a smart carry at work, where I dress business professional. Smart Carry is about my only option and the CW works very well in this role.

I'd go CW9, but that's just me. For $400, I think these are a good deal.

I've had my CW9 for almost two years, and have fired around 1,600 rounds.
I am very pleased with it. I carry it, and it's also my favorite for recreational shooting.

I have found the grip to be perfect. When I close my eyes, point the gun, and then open them, the sight picture is right on the mark. The recoil is soft, nicer than a .380 and definitely better than a snubnose revolver. I sold a Glock 19 for the Kahr and have never regretted it.

I love my CW-9. It is fun to shoot and reliable. I carry it at work because its small. My Kimber is little to big to carry at work because of what I do. I will be getting another one soon.

the ploymer kahrs are the ones known for having issues, but the ones that i have experience have done fine. i prefer the steel framed models and that is the reson that i own the k-40, the extra weight is minmal, and it does help when shooting.

I bought a cw40 because of how slim it was, and I have never regretted it. Reliable, and very accurate. It is the perfect size for carrying, and still large enough to be a comfy shooter.

From the perspective of concealability and comfort, my CW9 was unbeatable (the smaller Kahrs are too tiny to manipulate well). The trigger was better than the DA on any S&W J frame, but still not as easy to shoot well as the SA on my CZ Rami. While the Rami's heavier and fatter, its trigger made all the difference, so I sold the CW9.

I also have reservations about the long term durability of the tiny metal rails inserted into polymer on the CW9. Does anybody have a really serious round count with them?

Kahr PM40 is what I carry the most. Got a CW9 for practice, about paid for itself in the savings of cheap 9mm practice ammo vs. .40S&W ammo, plus I only clean it after messes up, ~ every 600-800 rounds depending on the ammo. I'd have to clean my carry gun after every outing to feel good carrying it.

Better than decent, but not quite fantastic, so I voted decent.

The CW series seems to have much less problems than the its comtemporaries in the Kahr line. They're more related to Kahr's P-series than the PM-series, it seems and get higher marks for it. I've got a K40 and I'm thinking getting a CW40.

never fired, but handled a kahr CW9, felt great, began to think this was the one. Then I tried the trigger. Way too long for me. Otherwise seemed nice. Dry fire if you can before buying.
