I didn't put this in the reloading section because it doesn't really deal with reloading.

I've started reloading for my 41 magnum lever action rifle and using 210-220 grain jacketed rounds but notice that they make lead rounds in the much heavier 250-300 grain range. I've never shot unjacketed lead before and certainly never anything this heavy out of the 41 magnum.

Anyone here shoot these heavier lead rounds in their rifle? Good? Bad? Opinions?

I shoot 335 grain factory loads in .45 Colt out of a Trapper. They are hardcast and at the muzzle they are moving about 1650 fps. DoubleTap makes them. They make a loud boom and hurt my shoulder and make a .45 cal hole in the paper.

I am sure they would stop a cement mixer in its tracks.
