Opinions of Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker .30-06?

Hi,
Have an opportunity to buy a Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker .30-06 for 399.00 out the door with good rings but junky scope that would need to be replaced. Is this a good rifle for a decent price?

I need a light rifle for an all arounder as I have tags for deer, elk (two tags; one cow, one bull) and antelope in western Montana where long, difficult hiking in cold, wet and/or freezing weather is the norm. Any and all opinions, comments, information regarding the rifle, the caliber, and its effectiveness for applications mentioned would be very much appreciated.

Im not a big hunter but it seems like this rifle is a very good match to what you need for a good price. Stainless for the wet, cold hiking and the 30-06 is a legend in N. American hunting. Ive never shot a Browning A-Bolt but they have a good reputation.

For the stainless stalker, if I'm not mistaken, you're looking at around $900 new. Buy it.
