I'm really thinking of buying one soon and was looking for some opinions good and bad about them. Any problems or anything I should look or watch out for?

Glocks have a good reputation. Issuance to many officers in many different service roles around the world atest to that.

I've fired a G20 several times. I like the round, the function of the gun and the controlability. The only thing I have a problem with is the shape of the grip. I can't get a good solid hold on it due to the hump at the base of the grip. This has kept me from buying one time and time again.

Yep... grip is just too big for my hand.

If someone made a gun that felt exactly like the CZ PCR but it 10mm, I'd carry it...

I like them, I fired a friends G20 and I was in love!! So much that I got one myself and get to pick it up tomorrow!!:D :D :D

I have one, magnaported with a robar grip reduction. Fine weapon, but I wouldn't want to try to shoot it with gloves on. it is about the largest frame my hand can fit with the grip reduction. I love the gun and the caliber, but occasionally I wish I had bought a 9mm G17 instead, especially when it comes time to shell out cash for bullets. Even plinking 10mm ammo doesn't come cheap. If none of that swayed you, then go for it, you won't be dissapointed.

Have had ported and non-ported. Really like the pistol, but me too the grip is just a bit larger than I like. Shoots pretty softly for 10mm.

Lots of current 10mm ammo is not any more powerful than the better 40 caliber ammo. At one time most 10mm was quite hot indeed.

Eventually sold mine because of the grip and increasing ammo expense.

If it fits your hand, you will like it.

I like mine, especially the grip; too many otherwise fine handguns are way too small in the grip for me. Fits even better with the rubber Decal Grips on.

Relatively cheap practice and carry ammo can be had from Ga Arms ($10/50), and Win Silvertips are pretty common off-the-shelf (at least around here). You can buy reasonably priced full power loads from Double Tap and Texas Ammunition via mail order, or higher-priced stuff from Buffalo Bore. A handful of makers offer drop-in bbls in .40 and 357 SIG (or 9x25) as well. If it fits you and you don't mind looking a little harder for ammo, no reason not to buy.

Have you looked at the EAA Witness? They've steel and polymer framed versions and are pretty much CZ75 clones made in just about every caliber.

I liked the feel of the one I had till I shot it. I had it 2 days and took it back.

Solid gun, love the round, can't stand the grip. It beat the heck out of the thumn knuckle to the point of drawing blood after 100 rounds or so.

If it fits you, it is a good deal on a solid, well proven 10mm.

They are good guns and I like mine, BUT, for me I do not like the way the frame flexes under recoil. It is a very "squishy" experience. Also when it is hot and sweaty (like that never happens in the deep south) I find that the squishy-ness makes keeping a consistent grip on the stock gun diffucult.

It does go "boom" EVERY time though so for that reason I keep it around.

Ditto what has been said.

It is a good, solid gun. But, the grip largish. If it fits your hands, thats great. If it doesn't, you may benefit from a grip reduction. Or, you may not.

I like mine.

Mike

I love mine, Extremely powerful, reliable, accurate and flat shooting out to a 100 yards point of aim, it’s also hard to beat 15+1 rounds of 10mm auto!:D

The Glock 20 is a great pistol. 15+1 capacity, relatively light-weight and chambered for the most versatile autoloading "service" cartridge.

Just FYI, but it has the same grip size as the .45acp G21 (which you hardly see as many complain about, ... but whatever). If you can't find a G20 to test for the grip issue, try out a G21.

On the ammo issue, a number of sources currently offer 10mm ammo that runs in the hotter range - including some that offer loads (safe and reliable ones) that meet or exceed the original Norma fps/fpe specs.

Check out: Double Tap, Texas Ammo, Proload, Corbon, Georgia Arms and Reed Ammo & Research.

So the grip is the same as a G21? The G21 fits me pretty nicely I thought it might be bigger. has anyone tried it in 9x25 I haven't heard much about this round and was curious tho any insights on the 9x25? Is it sort of a .357 sig "magnum"? Like I said haven't heard much about it
