Being a traditionalist I prefer well blued or Stainless finished Pistols or revolvers. Gold finish for BBQ guns and collectors pieces and Parkerised (or rhe like) for heavy combat guns. Now I gotta puke when I see those "colored" finishes and flames etc.!!! How ugly can a gun get other than wearing a finish like that?
There has to be something wrong with the mind that needs a color coordinated gun!

It's hard to beat a nice 1911. One thing that does beat it, though, is a nice SAA. Saw this one the other day, and it's still got my pulse elevated.

And I don't even like Bislies all that much. That one just looks right, though.

I'll also second a stainless steel CZ 75B.Pure perfection to look at.

If it has to be an auto then a blued 1911. If not, a Python blue or otherwise. Then there is the SSA. There is some very pretty stuff out there for sale.
The older S&W 27 and 29's are beautiful when in mint condition.
