Opinions on Taurus Tracker 44 Magnum

$200 is a steal.

I had one. The DA trigger was very stiff, but SA was decent. It went bang every time and I was reasonably accurate with it.

The 44c is a snubby version of the 44 tracker. It's from the tracker line and it's the exact same frame. I literally have had a 357 tracker and a 44c in my hands at the same time in the last few days.

Also since I'm an utterly perfect person( who knew it would take so little effort?!?) i would advise you to grab any tracker that was $200. That's a great price even when the prices hadn't skyrocketed

There are two ways to call out an error in someone's posting. An adult polite way, or your way. You chose to not be civil or polite. It was you who chose to be pissy about it, while calling out my error ,so my message to you is that if you can't be civil, you should learn to shut up. If you can't stand to see an error in a post then perhaps you should "sack up". As far as your self promotion goes you can stick that up your _____.
Since you have turned this thread into your childish verbal combat, I will refrain from this type of further posting and wasting the forum members time. I will let it go back to Taurus Tracker issues. People like you always need the last word, so go for it. I am no longer going to play in your childish game.

I wasn't pissy about it at all, I just corrected you. I have no need to be polite to you as you are a person that's apparently unworthy of it.

It's always funny that people the least worthy of it always wail about the respect they think they deserve. A better way to put your response was something along the lines " isn't the 44c a different frame size?" You didn't, you were cocky, pissy and can't handle being wrong so this is what happened. The way you acted about being wrong tells the world that it's a huge sore spot for you, probably because it happens frequently.

How much this has affected you is pretty funny though, you turned a moment trying desperately to be right into a hand wringing tantrum. Grow up, sack up and if you want to be treated with respect.....earn it
 
I had one I wish I still had. I hated the ported barrel but other than that really liked the gun. Mine was a blued version with 4" barrel. And yes for a 44 mag it had a minimal frame and the yoke was the same size as found on a K Frame model 10. It looked to weak for extended 44 mag loads. I did shoot a few full power loads but found I liked a lead 240gr bullet pushed to around 900-1000fps best. I used between 7.5 and 9grs of Unique in a 44 mag case.

I have owned several Taurus guns and never had an issue with a single one of them. Just check them out in person first before buying.

I really like porting, I get that it makes it louder but .....its a 2.5 inch 44 magnum ,gonna be loud no matter what lol. Maybe the 4 inch makes a bigger difference.

We handloaded a lot for it. A 300gr at 1100fps seemed to be the sweet spot. We did go heavier than that too. My dad and I used to do a lot of reloading, it's his gun now actually.
 
I had one in .357. It shot well and I had no problems with it. I also had a ported Raging Bull 44 Mag. A better size for a .44 Mag in my opinion.

Edit : I was incorrect on the 44c . I was thinking of a different .44 model. It is a medium frame gun like the Tracker. I guess I made a mistake. It is sometimes hard to be a perfect human. The bigger frames do definitely help with shooting.

Carrying though is much nicer with a smaller frame imo

You apparently care enough to keep trying to get in that last word. If you ever would meet some kind of reasonable comment instead of being a jerk I wouldn't bother. But this is 2020, the year of the jerk apparently. One would think you would be full time admonishing those who misspelled a word, or made a grammar error, but you must extend yourself by trying to justify your lack of appropriate behavior. Your lack of backup doesn't mean someone else doesn't care. It is more like a sign of not wanting to be involved with your constant come backs trying to justify your lack of appropriate response.
As for me, well you caught me in a year where I am sick and tired of people like you. When my simple error was called out in such an inappropriate manner I quickly apologized to the people that count., and corrected my error. To you however, I owe you no such respect, or apology. If your finding ugliness in our conversation it is because you put it there with your personal attack.

I don't go around "admonishing" people, I've been here for 14 years. I just corrected you when you tried to correct me all pissy like using your verbage.

This is something you started, something that you've made worse, and something you won't let go. You were the person that started the personal attacks. I mean.....it's not quiet on the 44c but I didn't think it was terrible.

Now....180grs Remington's were insane in any 44 I fired, massive muzzle blast, but I stuck to 300grs at about 1100 ish

I have a 686+ 2 inch. It's not stupid loud. Plenty bad though. My 460 and 500 are ported (both 8 inch) and they are deafening. I bet that alaskan in 454 would be too from that short barrel. Actually those and my 338 with a brake are the only guns I try to always double up hearing protection.

The 500 and 460s are pretty much always loud from what I hear( pun intended lol)

I've never fired a 454 actually, I've almost bought a few but really liked my Blackhawk for carry in the woods.
 
I have a Tracker in .357 and really like it. Presently I have no interest in .44 Magnum but for $200.00 I'd probably develop one.
