Guys, it's a three-pronged approach.

You have an opportunity. It may be a negative opportunity, or it may be a positive one. Regardless, it's your reason to act.

Next you have to form a strategy - What message do you wish to convey, how do you want to convey it, etc., etc.

Then, and this is the hard part, since gun nuts are a buncha independent cusses and all wanna do things their own way, you have to coherently execute the strategy.

Guys, I'm gonna ask something of you. When we cook a strategy that we think will work, will you PLEASE play along? Even if you're not 100% behind it? Because, frankly, sometimes 90-95% is gonna be about as good as it gets. Can't be everything to everyone, but that's not the goal here - the goal is to lose a bunch of the repressive and dangerous gun laws that have gone on the books since 1968 (really since 1934, but who's counting?), and get some progressive civil-rights friendly legislation passed.
