A red dot can easily be beat for precision shooting. Its easy to get scopes low enough, just use a low BP-02 scope mount and low scope rings.

Yeah, a red dot can be beat for precision shooting maybe. For quick hits on man-sized targets, not so much. If you're doing precision shooting, you should probably buy something other than an AK anyway. The BP-02 still sits high enough that a cheek rest is required for a good cheek weld. You sure as hell aren't going to be doing very well at "precision shooting," if that's your thing, with a chin weld.

A red dot can be very precise at closer range. As long as the dot isn't bigger than the target, you can shoot groups to the limits of the rifle's accuracy with a dot.
