Hi, Gents!

Hey, I have one of those Spanish 16's that's really an M93 Mauser rebarreled to the CETME cartridge....

Mine's in pretty fair shape but, dang it, my 51-year old eyes aren't up to lining up the nearly invisible v-notch with the equally difficult barleycorn front (and this rifle shoots to the left, and no easy way of correcting that, that I can find).

Any of you guys do something with either nice irons like Lyman 48 peep sight OR a lower power scope? This makes a nice truck gun, but if I can't line up the sights, there's little point in keeping it handy. I could go for a 4X or so scope.

I've never used a LER and don't think I want to. I'm tempted to follow an article in http://www.surplusrifle.com/reviews2...ings/index.asp (another user's forum for milsurps) and try to mount a POSP style mount. I was wondering if any of you have recommendations for the most reasonable way to scope or use irons. Since this isn't a museum piece, drilling and tapping is okay with me.

Thanks!
