ordered a cz p-01 a few questions

I have 2 CZ's and decided it was time for a third and ordered a p-01 after much research on them. I now have a few questions -

What holsters for other guns fit the p-01?

Where is the best place to order additional mags?

Where the heck can I get ammo ?

I tend to get custom holsters for each gun, but the CZ75 holster will hold it of course.

I usually look at CDNN investments and Sportsmans warehouse & Cheaper than dirt for mags and stuff.

Ammo can be found if you will look at the places online and check out Walmart every few days

i got some mags from CDNN for cheap and they shipped it pretty quick. I would definitely check them out. I just dont like the emails.

Mags are out there, and Mecgar makes them, too. Also, several choices in holsters, from the generic Bianchi M-100 made for the G-rock 19...



...to the fantastic custom stuff from Hazel Leather, such as my wife's rig...

I was just fondling a p-01 at cabela's; they had extra mags in stock on the shelf there, FWIW.

Most G19 holsters will fit, unless they have thumb straps.
Then you will have to carry with the hammer fully down.
Not really fun or safe to do.

One for a SIG P229 with an accessory rail should fit it.

I found that a SIG P228 holster fit my PCR (essentially a rail-less P-01) well.

UBG can make a custom holster for it.

Are you looking for an inside-the-waist band holster or a belt holster for carrying on the outside of the belt/waistband?

An OWB, either belt loop or maybe a paddle holster.

Of course, everyone has their own likes/dislikes, but here's the one I own and like a lot. It is made specifically for the P-01 and is very comfortable - sits at a reasonable height and close to your body. Can be had for about $75 from a retailer.

Added later: Comes in Black or Havana. Mine is Havana and the color is actually more dark brownish rather than the reddish that is shown on the Galco web site.

Picked it up tonight and as usual with CZ's took about an hour to de oil it . this thing fits my hand even better than my Glock and it points like a natural extension of my arm. Plan on shooting it in the morning or Sun but I can honestly say even before shooting it that it is the best feeling auto I have held.

Ammo was no problem one local dealer had tons of Fionchi and the dealer that ordered it had WWB bulk so i picked up a few of the Fionchi to try and one of the WWB bulk since I'm low at the moment anyways.

Now to order some mags from CDNN and start searching for a holster.

I ordered my Mec-Gars from Greg Cote. He recently started a website. He was the only guy who had them when everyone else was out of stock, and he was cheaper. I found him on the CZ forum, and can't say enough good things about the guy. Shipping cost & speed, etc. We talked for about 15 min. about CZ's, the magazine business and forums.

Anyone know where to get a couple of the flat metal base plates at, I dont care much for the rubber ones on the factory mags.
