Those grips came off of eBay and were made by a vendor named Jaruwan.P in Thailand. He advertises various grips for various models, and he has some grips on eBay at present.

I'd think it'd take a stick of dynamite to blow it up.

While neither would be easy.
I think it'd be easier to beat up the action and cause timing issues speed shooting DA, that cylinder weighs a ton accelerating it and stopping is suddenly is gonna cause wear.
If you want it and can afford it, buy it.
