what other calibers besides 223 can i use in an ar15 rifle big size ar or small size what other calibers are available to use, i want a round that will kill a deer can someone recomend a caliber for for my first ar15 that will kill a deer besides .223

With an upper and a mag change, the 6.8mm SPC (the round the Army is drooling over) will drop a deer easily, Barrett makes the uppers.
Also, you can get 7.62X39mm uppers, which will certainly do the job.
The .458 SOCOM or .50 Beowulf would drop a deer if you were close enough, and those are upper conversions.

I have a 762X39 flat top upper. With Wolf 154gr soft point ammo, it shoots right at 2" at 100 yds. I would think this would work great for deer.
